Summer Goeth Before The Fall

WHERE DID THE TIME GO?

Well, the summer certainly flew by. Visiting family in Maryland and Florida was a great way to step out of the constant barrage of intrusive thoughts about what I should be doing. I find it so hard to just be in the moment and have an experience that can be used to remark on a future creative idea. I’m relentlessly looking for the next rhyme or metaphor. I keep telling myself that maybe I’ll finally make a Patreon, but I don’t even know where I’d find the time or energy to create all that content, especially when we live in a time where it’s all about “content, content, content”. I’m struggling to even post a new blog entry for crying out loud. I guess that kind of answers that question. But I digress.

SHOWS!

There’s two shows this month that I’m really excited about. The first is a Bowie tribute at LIC Bar on September 15th from 5-8pm. Yours truly has been tapped to sing a couple songs along with some other heavy hitting vocalists and a solid band to help bring the Starman to life. You’ll have to attend to find out which songs I’m singing.

BOWIE TRIBUTE at LIC BAR

Sunday, September 15th - 5pm

Then on the 29th I’m back at Penny Jo’s for another round of Rainbow Rodeo LIVE! It’ll be the 3rd edition of this amazing Queer Country event, hosted by the wonderful Rachel Cholst. The bill also features previous entrants Cactus Rose (Kandia CrazyHorse) & Jackfruit (Taylor Chilton), as well as my pal Olivia Ellen Lloyd. These nights have been very special as well as enlightening for me. I’ve learned a lot about myself and really feel the love when sharing my songs with this community.

RINBOW RODEO LIVE!

Sunday, September 29th - 6-8pm

That’s everything for now. If you made it to the end of this blog post, I really appreciate you. Trying to put this music life together is no easy task as any independent musician can tell you. So, the fact that you’re even here means something. Every little bit helps: purchasing music, coming to a show, streaming, signing the mailing list, a follow. I’m grateful for any of it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

See you soon,

Robert
