Summer Highlights
Hey there! It’s been a minute so let’s start by catching up where we left off. Robert played a last minute set at Rockwood 1 at the end of May filling in for Adam Cohen of The Morning Sea. It also happened to be the first outing for his homemade “Nudie Suit”. In June, we played as a three-piece (Robert, Christian, Cole) for an incredible night at The Jalopy Theater for Roots & Ruckus. We had the chance to debut some brand new songs which was very exciting.

A few days later Robert played the Big City Folk Stage for the 9th Annual Porch Stomp on Governor’s Island. He was joined by Anna who premiered her original song “I Wanna Be A Rainbow”, which was a real treat. Then in July, the whole family got Covid. It was certainly a bummer as we had to drop out of our Pete’s Candy Store show with Matt Moran and The Belle Curves. (We’re working on rescheduling). And finally, Robert was interviewed on The Long Island Sound Podcast about the band and how we got our sound. You can find the episode here: The Locksmiths Episode. What’s Next - The New EP - “My Way in Manila”
So what’s next, you ask? When is this EP coming out, you say? Well, we’re glad you asked. Our next big show is happening at Rockwood Music Hall on Friday, September 23rd. We’ll be playing on Stage 1 at 6pm opening up for our friends The Montvales. This will be a big one and we’d love to see you there as we play new originals and some tracks from the new EP. Speaking of which, all recording and mixing for “My Way in Manila” is now complete. We are currently in the process of getting it mastered by our pal Jason Borisoff at Conveyor Studios. I know we originally said that we were going to put it out in Aug./Sep. but timing of things took a bit of a detour. The new expected arrival of the EP is sometime in November. We definitely want to get it released before the new year BECAUSE…..
Bock Party of 5!
That’s right! We’re expanding the family! Baby Girl Bock is due at the end of December and we couldn’t be more excited. We’ll try to keep you updated as best we can.
